With a busy summer with my dissertation as well as other things I haven't been able to keep this post updated.
With my metal band I've given them some extensive feedback on 2 of the songs. I was quite honest with them and gave constructive feedback both good and bad. The feedback will be present in my final appendix.
It mainly involved a number of tuning problems i had with the band as well as a few little things like adding a keyboard player to their band to add a little more dynamic.
I'm very pleased to see that they took my feedback seriously and changed a few things for the better. For example Fools Gold sounded like 3 different songs stuck together and was very much lacking in structure. With a little guidance it's now a song i'm very excited to record and the band enjoy playing it a lot more.
I tried to not be too rude with my feedback but i feel it came a cross a little, which obviously was not my intention and i explained that to them at a rehearsel.
We are recording in approximately 3 weeks from now during the half term break and will be focusing on getting most of the recording done in one week.
My other artist is patiently awaiting dates booked for when we can record, I'm confident with his songs as well as his committment and will be getting him into record soon after the first band.
